This document sets out the Corporate Social Responsibility Policy at Jayex Technology Ltd.

Policy Brief and Purpose

CSR refers to the way in which Jayex Technology regulates itself in order to ensure that all of our activities impact society positively. The policy aims to guarantee that Jayex Technology works ethically, considering human rights as well as the social, economic, and environmental impacts of what we do as a business.

Jayex Technology is committed to ensuring that any business undertakings are conducted as ethically as possible by following this policy.

Responsibility

The Jayex Technology Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that this policy is implemented, however, all employees have a responsibility within their respective areas to ensure that the aims and objectives of this policy are met.

Scope

This policy applies to our Jayex Technology and its subsidiaries. It may also refer to suppliers and partners.

Policy elements

We want to be a responsible business that meets the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
Our company’s social responsibility falls under two categories: compliance and proactiveness. Compliance refers to our company’s commitment to legality and willingness to observe community values. Proactiveness is every initiative to promote human rights, help communities and protect our natural environment.

Compliance
Legality

We will:

  • Respect the law
  • Honour our internal policies
  • Ensure that all our business operations are lawful
  • Keep every partnership and collaboration open and transparent

Business ethics

We will always conduct business with integrity and respect to human rights. We'll promote:
  • Fair dealings with all of our partners
  • Fair dealing toward all of our consumers
  • Anti-bribery and anti-corruption practices

Protecting people

We will ensure that we:
  • Do not risk the health and safety of our employees
  • Do not risk the health and safety of our customers and community
  • Support diversity and inclusion

Human rights

Jayex Technology is dedicated to protecting human rights. We are a committed equal opportunity employer and will abide by all fair labour practices. We’ll ensure that our activities do not directly or indirectly violate human rights (e.g., forced labour).

Proactiveness

Volunteering and community engagement

Jayex Technology will support local charities by encouraging its employees to participate in volunteering days. They can volunteer through programs organised internally or externally. We may sponsor volunteering events from other organisations.

Supporting the community

Jayex Technology will support community investment and educational programs. For example, through partnerships with apprenticeship providers focused on STEM subjects.

Learning

Jayex Technology will be open to suggestions and listen carefully to ideas. We will try to continuously improve the way we operate.

We are committed to the United Nations Global Compact. We'll readily act to promote our identity as a socially aware and responsible business.

Protecting the environment

Jayex Technology recognises that it has a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating model. We will encourage customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to do the same.

Environmental aims

We endeavour to:

  • Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Continually improve and monitor environmental performance
  • Continually improve and reduce environmental impacts
  • Incorporate environmental factors into business decisions
  • Increase employee awareness and training

Paper

We will:

  • Minimise the use of paper in the office
  • Reduce packaging as much as possible
  • Seek to buy recycled and recyclable paper products
  • Reuse and recycle all paper wherever possible

Energy and water

We will seek to:

  • Reduce the amount of energy used as much as possible
  • Switch off lights and electrical equipment when not in use
  • Take energy consumption and efficiency of new products into account when purchasing them

Office supplies

We will:

  • Evaluate if renting or sharing is an option before purchasing equipment
  • Evaluate the environmental impact of any new products we intend to purchase
  • Favour more environmentally friendly and efficient products wherever possible
  • Reuse and recycle products wherever possible

Transportation

We will:

  • Reduce the need to travel, restricting to necessary trips only
  • Promote the use of video / phone conferencing over in-person meetings outside of the office
  • Encourage staff to walk, cycle, car share or use public transport to get to work if possible
  • Make additional efforts to accommodate the needs of those using bicycles
  • Encourage staff to use greener fuels in their personal vehicles if possible
  • Upgrade our company vehicles to hybrid or fully-electric alternatives by the end of 2025

Maintenance and cleaning

We will:

  • Use cleaning materials that are as environmentally friendly as possible
  • Use materials in any office refurbishment that are as environmentally friendly as possible
  • Only use licensed and appropriate organisations to dispose of waste

Monitoring and improvement

We will:

  • Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Continually improve and monitor environmental performance
  • Continually improve and reduce environmental impacts
  • Incorporate environmental factors into business decisions
  • Increase employee awareness through internal campaigns
  • Review this policy and any related business issues at monthly management meetings

Culture

We will:

  • Update this policy at least once annually in consultation with staff and other stakeholders where necessary
  • Involve staff in the implementation of this policy, for greater commitment and improved performance
  • Work with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors to improve their environmental performance
  • Use local labour and materials where possible to reduce CO2 and help the community

Net Zero

Jayex Technology is committed changing our operations to achieve Net Zero by 2026. This commits us to ensuring we have no negative impact on the climate through our business operations and supply chain.

This includes:

  • Reducing emissions through our own facilities and company vehicles
  • Reducing emissions created indirectly through our supply chain, and employees, for example, when we travel to work
  • Our own consumption, for example, our use of gas and electricity

Suppliers

We value the close working relationship we have with our suppliers and actively encourage them to support the UN’s climate action goal with us by achieving net zero as early as possible; climate action is a joint responsibility. Jayex Technology is committed to continually reviewing its supply chain to reduce harmful greenhouse gases and build a supply chain fit for the future of the planet.

We will:

  • Work with our suppliers to encourage alignment with our own 2026 net zero goal
  • Review the use of suppliers unable to meet these requirements to ensure we only work with suppliers of similar social values
  • Use carbon offsetting where no viable alternative exists
