The Customer
East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust serves a large constituency, and sought a solution from Jayex to replace their legacy digital signage system. They aimed to enhance efficiency, streamline patient check-in, and improve the experience for visually impaired and non-English speaking patients.
The Challenge
The main challenges they faced included:
- Delivering a solution which would meet the needs of the hospitals and the population of East Sussex for years to come
- Finding a way to reduce queues and congestion at two hospital sites
- Ensuring any solutions were implemented rapidly and achieved efficiency savings
- Finding ways to improve patient experience for visually impaired and non-English speaking patients
The Solution
In July 2017, the patient self-check-in solution, Enlighten, was installed at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust’s two general hospitals, Conquest and Eastbourne DGH. This system provided patients with easy-to-use touch screens for check-in, reduced waiting room queues, saved administrative time and costs, offered multilingual support, improves accessibility for visually impaired patients, and automates processes while providing detailed analytics for staff.
